The goal of the first visit is to discuss the technique, evaluate the patient’s medical status, form a medical plan, and begin testing the first allergen.

Evaluation methods include medical history, symptom survey, physical exam, and vital signs. All questions and concerns will be answered at this time. A medical plan will be discussed including treatment schedules, patient’s time commitment, and cost per visit. Don’t forget to bring any previous medical records or allergy tests.

Then muscle response testing (MRT) will begin to compare the strength of a predetermined muscle in the presence and absence of a suspected allergen. One item, usually the first of the basics group, will be treated.
